The Samba Package on top of the Deluxe model brought 8 skylight windows and a canvas sunroof to make it a 23 window bus. This Type 2 exterior is finished in Mouse Gray and White with a Tan and Brown 2 tone interior. Built on VW Beetle mechanics, all VW buses including this one feature a rear-mounted air cooled 4 cylinder engine tied to a 4-speed manual transmission both with approximately 4000 miles since the rebuild. The restoration was completed over a long period of time and the bus is owned by a prominent VW collector who has several other buses besides this one.
