Introducing the 1952 Jaguar C-Type Sports Racer by Proteus, resplendent in a distinctive Curlew metallic exterior color. This stunning homage to classic race cars is paired with a plush and sophisticated Barley leather interior, creating a striking contrast that further accents the car's classic aesthetics. In 2021, Jay Leno and Donald Osborne invited this car to participate in the Concourse d'Elegance in Newport Rhode Island sponsored by the Audrain Auto Museum. Truly a special honor for this vehicle!
Designed with intricacy, and precision, this Proteus C-Type is an automotive masterpiece that marries vintage design with modern engineering. At the heart of this car lies a 4.2L I6 fuel injected engine, mated to a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, offering an exhilarating, high-performance drive that is uniquely satisfying.
The interior of the car exudes luxury and practicality in equal measures. The notable features include a fine-quality leather interior and the essential feature of racing seatbelts, complementing the car's evocative shape and ensuring the driver's safety. The addition of the distinctive wire wheels impeccably mirrors the original classic design and completes the car's old-world appeal.
This C-Type is not just another sports car; it is a connection to one of the most distinguished legacies in automotive history. With only 52 original C-Type Jaguars ever produced and their illustrious reputation of triple Le Mans victories, it presents enthusiasts with a rare opportunity to partake in automotive history. Since 1980 Proteus only made 260 of these fine cars.
This car was originally built for Nigel Forsyth the CEO of Proteus. He had an untimely passing and never took delivery. His signature adorns the fuel cap via inscription. Chris Randall became CEO of Proteus and took delivery of this last C-Type built by Proteus. Each car they made took 2000 hours of labor to replicate. Unique additions have been made to the standard Proteus C-Type, such as upgraded brakes using carbon ceramic pads, and the iconic Le Mans racing light behind the grille. Furthermore, an upgraded radiator ensures better performance and longer endurance.
This 1952 Jaguar C-Type Sports Racer by Proteus is truly one-of-a-kind, embodying the ideal blend of vintage design and modern engineering. Availability is extremely limited, making this a unique opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Seize the chance to own this remarkable machine, a rarity in today's automotive marketplace.
