The 300ZX debuted in 1983 in Japan and 1984 in the USA. The 300ZX would see 2 generation spanning around 16 years but last few years were only in Japan. The Z31 or gen 1 was an instant hit and to this day the highest volume Z-Car ever made. Here we have a '85 model, mid-1st generation.
